The Masterplan for the site designed by Ryder Architecture will be landscape driven and include nature walks, cycle routes and pedestrian links to improve connectivity with Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Blackpool Zoo and Stanley Park resulting in better public accessibility in and around the site which can be used by staff, patients and out-patients from nearby Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
In addition, UKAP are engaged with both Blackpool Zoo and Blackpool Victoria Hospital about the project and it is proposed that an area of the site close to the existing zoo perimeter is being designated to the zoo for their own uses and an area adjacent to the hospital for a garden to be installed for use by staff, patients and their families.
